Michael Kefalianos, Greek Titan at Mr. Olympia

Micheal is by far the greatest Greek bodybuilder, and the first ever to appear at the Mr. Olympia IFBB Pro Bodybuilding contest.

Michael is a role model for athletes, with great muscularity, exceptional lines, power, and guts. We worked together a few years ago on a video clip we made for his guest appearance at a bodybuilding contest in Greece.

This weekend he will battle with the other world Titans at Las Vegas, where the Mr. Olympia 2009 contest is held.

A Great Event

NAC's World Bodybuilding & Fitness Championships 2008, Athens - Greece, was a great event. Great athletes from all over the world got together to celebrate health, beauty, and power.

To start with, here are just a few of the pictures I made with them.

NAC World Championships 2008, in Athens

NAC's World Bodybuilding & Fitness Championships 2008, will be held in Athens, Greece, on June 7, at Peace & Friendship Stadium. 180 bodybuilders from 45 countries will compete. This is the official poster and magazine advertising I created for the event. Pictured athletes are: Charalambos Sarakinis, 48 years old (!), Mister Universe Master over 40 2007, and Katerina Megalou (see below). Katerina the Great

Her name is Katerina Megalou. In Greek, "Megalo" means great, big, huge. Besides being a great athlete, Katerina, in her mid 20s, is also the winner of the Ms Universe 2006 Championships.

She is a moving beauty, talented, smart, and very feminine. Fans adore her. She is a regular on top national television shows.

We made this shot at NAC's Athens Grand Prix, last November, where she guest-posed. You'll have the chance to meet Katerina at the 2008 World Championships, next summer in Athens.

Some Greek bodybuilding history

Here are some pictures I discovered, going through my photo archives.

Shots I did in 1991, almost 18 years ago. At that time, bodybuilding in Greece was "just a few good men's job". Completely amateur sport. No grand prizes, no opportunities, no publicity. Just for the love of it.
Many of these athletes today are either businessmen, running their own sports companies (gyms, supplements, etc), or coaching new athletes and teams. In picture No.2 is Nikos Sigalas. In picture No.3 (left) is Yiannis Moros.
